OVERVIEW
Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa is a Roman Catholic Basilica and parish church in Ottawa. The structure was designed by architect Joseph Connolly and built between 1841 and 1847. It was designated a basilica by Pope John Paul II in 1989. Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica is the oldest and largest standing church in what is now Canada's national capital region.
